Welcome to the website of the Total Eclipse band. Total Eclipse was comprised of a group of young enlisted servicemen stationed together at Osan Air Base, Korea in 1976. The band was formed early in that year under the leadership of Carlos Santos, out of New York City. The members dedicated hundreds of hours of their off duty time molding varied musical backgrounds and talent levels into a single musical voice. The hard work paid off. The Total Eclipse spent most of the year performing at the NCO clubs of military bases throughout Korea. The audiences were treated to some pretty good shows. The band not only grew as players and musicians, but as people as well. This site was created as a result of a box of pictures and a couple of 29 year old cassette tapes I found in the attic. I wanted to revisit and share some of these memories.
